Ceramic Window Tint · Nairobi

Cooler, calmer, better protected.

Genuine Llumar ceramic window film that blocks heat and UV, cuts glare and adds privacy — fitted precisely in our Karen studio, without the signal interference or purple fade of cheap film.

Quick summary

Ceramic window tint uses nano-ceramic film to reject solar heat and block UV without going too dark. At Glossmith we fit genuine Llumar film for a cooler cabin, less glare, protected interior and added privacy — with no interference to phone or GPS signals. Typical turnaround is a few hours.

What it is

Window tint is a thin film applied to the inside of your glass. Ceramic tint is the premium type: instead of dye or metal, it uses nano-ceramic particles that reject infrared heat and block UV while staying optically clear.

That means a genuinely cooler cabin and strong UV protection even at lighter, more legal shades — without the signal interference of metallic film or the purple fading of cheap dyed film.

The benefits

Limitations — what it won't do

Tint darkness is regulated, so there are legal limits on how dark front windows can be — we advise on compliant shades. Ceramic film costs more than dyed film, but it outperforms and lasts far longer. Tint needs a few days to fully cure, during which windows should stay up and the film left untouched.

Options

Windshield · heat & glare Front windows · legal shades Rear windows · privacy Full car · complete package

Tint is priced per glass or as a full-car package. We match shades to your comfort and the legal limits.

Our process

  1. Consultation & quote. We recommend shades and coverage for your car and the legal limits, then confirm pricing.
  2. Glass preparation. Every window is cleaned meticulously — dust under film shows, so prep is everything.
  3. Precision cutting. Film is computer-cut to the exact glass shapes for a clean, edge-to-edge fit.
  4. Application. Film is fitted and squeegeed by hand to remove every bubble and align perfectly.
  5. Curing guidance. We explain the few-day curing window before handover.

Maintenance & aftercare

Leave windows up for 3–5 days after fitting so the film can cure and any light haze can clear. After that, clean glass with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner — ammonia degrades film over time. Genuine Llumar tint holds its colour and performance for many years.

What affects your price

Estimated turnaround: a few hours for most vehicles. Final pricing depends on the car and is confirmed before work begins.

Does tint really reduce heat?

Yes — ceramic tint rejects a large share of infrared heat, noticeably cooling the cabin even at lighter shades.
